potatoes, carrots and eggs – typical german?


So this dish is one of my favorites. It is so easy to make, it’s delicious and healthy. And it’s the sun on a plate when its grey and cold outside. But when I told my friend from Spain about it, she said, “This is so German!” So here is my question: Is it really typical German to eat cooked potatoes, cooked and buttered carrots combined with a fried egg?
