I like to cook dishes, that are always some kind of fancy or extravagant. But our parents and grandparents and other family members prefer traditional German food. So last time, when they were on visit, I made just fried cauliflower coated with breadcrumbs, eggs, salt and pepper. It came along with rice (basmati – not german, but leftover). ;-) Cucumber slices on top for freshness. That’s just it.
