pasta bolognese – special on second glance

IMG_2721

Well, this meal doesn’t look like something special. But it is, ’cause this bolognese sauce happened by chance.

It was another day when my dear man was cooking and some minced meat was left but already prepared and flavored. So he was thinking to use it for a bolognese. Which in fact was awesome.

So this meat is prepared like we usually make meatballs. It’s marinated with mustard and eggs. Two ingredients I would never put into a bolognese. Besides that, it’s organic beef, tomatoes, carrots, onions, sieved tomatoes, tomato paste, salt and pepper to taste and probably marjoram (’cause this is my man’s favorite spice ;-)).

Actually, I was not a big fan of bolognese before. But this recipe is different, I really cannot get enough of it. Really. ;-)

PS: The noodles are macaroni and the cheese on top is olive gouda. Again, we got all of the ingredients here.
