drink of the month #1 – hot orange and grapefruit juice with ginger and pomegranate

Well, I have some sort of drinking problem. Not the one you might think of first. But I use to drink to less (I prefer to eat). So besides all of my other 2014 plans for this blog I was thinking to start a series on topa with one healthy and beautiful looking drink a month. May it encourage myself and other people to drink more.

So here we go with a hot sour and spicy drink for cold winter days: For one person you’ll need one orange, one grapefruit, one pomegranate, and a piece of fresh ginger. Boil some water, let it cool down a bit. Squeeze the orange and the grapefruit, put that juice into a glass. Grate some ginger, add it to the glass as well as the hot water. Squeeze the pomegranate, give it slowly to the glass to get these yellow and pink color layers. Enjoy!

PS: You can add some brown sugar if you like it more sweet.
